SOU’WESTER // FIELD RECORDING TRIP
Our 3 day Field Recording Trip resulted in a series of original tracks created entirely with sounds recorded on a 3 day field trip.
Forward and the Spain & Portugal Sound Collage resulted from additional editing and processing of these original samples.
Recording locations: Ape Caves in Oregon, casino, Sou'wester in Washington, and home objects in Portland.
Samples: water, steam, sauna, organ, ocean, casino machine sounds and wire brush on multiple objects in a trailer.
Vocals: Dasha, Tiana and Clamber.
Mics: Samples recorded on a stereo linear array mic (Clamber), Zoom mics (Dasha S. and Tiana G.) and post-processed with filters in Ableton.
